Week of the Wheel

Writer: Peter Duchemin, PhdPeter Duchemin, Phd

It's Friday, and the time of The Wheel is now. Fortune is an amplification and an entrance into another dimension. So, for most, this is "good" fortune, simply because it is an expansion of the investments which we have made in terms of our labors, our interests, our works - they find expression in a plane that is exponentially greater than they themselves (as investments) were. There is a "return" on our investment - what we have sowed, we will reap.

But it is also important to recognize that in another sense, Fortune is a blind goddess - good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people, as they say. It's rarely that clear cut, but that is the idea. For dealing with this seemingly cruel fact of nature, there is only one truly effective strategy - shed attachments to things that don't matter that much. At least this way we can let the wheel spin, and not be crushed underneath.

Indeed the key is to find the hub of the wheel itself: the empty part that makes it all useful. If you can open your heart in that way, and let life spin around it, staying true to your essential nature, then, the vagiaries of existence: the pulse of up and down -they will not hurt you, and then you can go about your real business, of sowing seeds of bright doings that you may or may not see the fruits of - but which you know will ultimately bloom.

Invest in those kinds of tree, and your ancestors, at the very least, will thank you. There is a return. There is benefit. There is good fortune. Plant for it now, and don't be greedy for the dividends. It's not really about you anyways. Expansion is joy. Create joy daily, and with a long eye, and with a timeless heart. Yes. That will do.

Your mission then is to make such an investment. Is it music? Is it art? Is it a friendship? Is it charity? I don't know, but make a bright hearted investment that will make a future happy, and then forget about it. Rinse, repeat. You will enjoy doing it, and someone will enjoy walking in the paths of the forest that springs up in your wake.

Blessings be there, upon the wheel. This is the next dimension. Ah Ho!
