One of the truly beautiful symmetries of the Qabalistic Tarot is disclosed in the relationship between the Sun, and the High Priestess - which are an athbash pair, meaning that their letters are coupled when the alphabet is folded over on itself. Since the High Priestess is assigned to the Moon, and the Sun is assigned to the Sun, here is where we see the conjunction of conscious and unconscious, silver and gold.
Silver and gold make an alloy, called Electrum. Electrum was used to paint the top of obelisks and pyramids. Bringing silver and gold together, psychically is a fine balance, but it is what is necessary to access both the intuition and the reason simultaneously. This is a potency evidenced by shiva - who is both male and female in nature, and is well represented by the Shivalingham - a phallus and Yoni conjoined.
The Athbash pairs set up a palindromic resonance across the tarot, and allow us to manifest a radial energy - a ripplefield. In these two cards we find the openly manifest, and the eternally evasive - and when we combine these two senses, we discover in their conjunctio oppositorum, that they give us access to all there is.
